Botox and dermal Fillers (Juvederm)
Are you unhappy with those frown lines, crows’ feet or sleep lines, not to mention the sad lines around your mouth or the deep grooves running from your nose to the corners of your mouth, or even the lines around the lips. Perhaps you even want more defined lips if they are too thin? With Botox and Juvederm we have a solution for you.
Botox can last 3-4 months in the beginning but the more you have it done the longer the time required between visits. Juvederm has a local anaesthetic in it, unlike other fillers, which makes the procedure more comfortable. Its effects can last 10 -12 months and are very subtle enabling you to look younger without going under the knife.

We offer Botox injections to the upper third of the face viz: frown lines, forehead wrinkles and ‘crowsfeet’ around the eyes. For lines around the cheek / mouth region (e.g. the lips), we offer Juvederm filler injections.
The cost of the initial consultation is £90. At this visit, following examination and discussion of your requirements, you will be advised as to the procedure involved and, most importantly, which treatment would be appropriate for you. We will confirm the cost when we know what is necessary.
Botox injection prices start at £270 for men and £220 for women (Men generally have stronger muscles and therefore require a larger dosage of Botox). Juvedern fill injections start at £295 per phial. These prices include a follow up consultation where necessary and depend on the problem and the size of the area to be treated.
Healthy skin contains important components that keep it supple and young looking. One of these is hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a natural sugar found in all living cells that helps maintain skin volume by attracting and binding over 1000 times its weight in water.
However, with time, sunlight and other factors, the hyaluronic acid in your skin diminishes, your skin loses volume, and lines and wrinkles appear. Now you can temporarily replace your skin’s lost hyaluronic acid using Juvederm, which is a dermal filler made from a highly purified form of hyaluronic acid that mimics the effects of natural hyaluronic acid.
When injected just below the surface of the skin, Juvederm adds volume to the skin, smoothing unwanted lines and wrinkles. It provides immediate, natural-looking results. Treatment and recovery usually take as little as one hour. Juvederm can be used to smooth the lines between the nose and mouth and also to create fuller more luscious lips.
Over time, fillers gradually break down and are naturally reabsorbed by your body; They generally last 10 -12 months.
Benefits of Juvederm treatment:
- No pre-treatment skin test required
- Immediate results
- Proven safety – used in international markets for nearly a decade
- Mild adverse post-treatment responses (such as redness, bruising and swelling)
The initial consultation for Juvederm is £90 – reducing to £60 should you decide to have treatment. The cost depends on the area on the face to be treated. It starts at £295 per phial (per syringe) and includes a follow-up consultation if required. If the full, desired effect is not achieved, further treatment will be carried out at the additional cost of £295 per phial.
Treatment can be carried out at the same time of consultation if wished.
Botulinum Toxin is a material used to improve the appearance of worry lines, crow’s feet, laugh lines and other so-called dynamic wrinkles. Dynamic wrinkles occur when we smile, laugh or frown, and the delicate muscles underlying ageing skin contract. Botulinum is injected into these muscles and works by weakening these tiny facial muscles very precisely. After treatment, the overlying skin remains smooth and unwrinkled while untreated facial muscles contract normally, allowing normal facial expression to remain unaffected. Botulinum Toxin injections have been safely and effectively used for over a decade for many neurological and opthalmological disorders. Thousands of Botulinum Toxin injections are performed each year for a variety of conditions ranging from strabismus (squint or cross eyes) to spasmodic torticollis (twisting of neck with painful muscle spasms). Botulinum Toxin was first shown to be beneficial for dynamic wrinkles by neurologists and opthalmologists treating other conditions. Today, paralleling and exponential increase in our knowledge of the science of ageing, cosmetic denervation has emerged as an exciting, not officially listed new treatment for ameliorating the visible consequences of ageing.
How is Botulinum Toxin injections performed?
Giving Botulinum Toxin injections is a simple and safe procedure. A very small amount of Botulinum Toxin is injected with a very fine needle into several locations in the face. Because the needle is so fine and only a small amount of liquid is used, the pain associated with the injections is minimal. No sedation or local anaesthetic is required, and you will be able to drive and engage in all of your usual daily activities immediately after your injections. You may have slight temporary bruising of the skin at your injection sites, but otherwise, there will be no visible signs of your treatment.
Are there any side effects?
Because the medication can sometimes cause excessive weaknesses of injected or nearby muscles, rarely there can be transient weakness of eye closure, drooping of eyelids, or asymmetry of facial expression. The risk of any side effects depends on the muscles injected. Because Botulinum Toxin is completely reversible, any side effects related to excessive weakness are temporary, lasting only days or weeks.
What kind of results can I expect?
Results with Botulinum Toxin injections can be amazing and certainly help in maintaining a more youthful appearance. However, this procedure will not improve the more common static wrinkles that are unrelated to facial contraction. If you have a combination of the two, your improvement may, therefore be limited.
Early results from clinical trials suggest that the duration of benefits increases with time so that you may require injections less frequently in the future, but this will vary from person to person. In addition, cosmetic denervation may be less effective past the age 65. The Botulinum Toxin effect will be apparent 3-4 days after the injection and will last up to 3-4 months. It can be repeated should one wish to. Everything will return to normal within 3-4 months.
An initial consultation cost £90. The cost of Botox depends on the size of the area to be treated. Areas treated are: (1) frown lines between the eyebrows ( region) (2) forehead lines and (3)’ crows feet’ (both sides). The cost is £270 per area for men and £220 for women. If more than one area needs treatment, these will be charged at £120 for each subsequent area (men and women).
