At Ilchester Dental & Implant Centre, we love nothing more than helping our patients smile confidently again. Thanks to our range of cosmetic dentistry options, we’re able to improve the appearance of your teeth, gums, bite and smile. A key component of our consultations is to discuss your options, from colour to size, to alignment and beyond.

Tooth Coloured Fillings

Most people with restorations have silver (amalgam) fillings currently in their mouths. However, advancements in treatment options now allow us to offer natural-looking fillings, matched to the colour of the surrounding tooth. Thanks to these newer materials and methods, you’ll find that your fillings can no longer be seen when laughing or smiling, and offer a highly increased level of security and safety.

If you’re interested in improving your smile, speak to your dentist about whether your old restorations are suitable for replacement with tooth-coloured fillings.

Composite Bonding

Unlike classic veneers, which are laboratory-manufactured ‘covers’ for your teeth, composite bonding utilises a composite resin, matched to the colour of your teeth, to treat fractured, chipped, decayed or discoloured teeth. This treatment can be used to quickly and efficiently change a smile completely, with the possibility of completing treatment in one single visit.

With composite bonding, you could undergo a complete smile makeover in a very short space of time. Speak to us today for more information.

Veneers

Veneers are custom-made in a state-of-the-art dental laboratory using a thin layer of porcelain (less than 1mm thick) to ‘cover’ the front surface of a tooth. Think of a false fingernail being fitted at the salon!

Veneers are chiefly utilised to improve the colour, shape and/or alignment of your teeth, increasing the cosmetic look of your smile. Using precise shade matching, we can ensure your veneers look natural – but still stunning. Whether it be to augment one damaged tooth or replace your front ‘smiling’ teeth, veneers have a range of applications and options to suit your needs.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening is a common treatment nowadays, allowing you to lighten your teeth to a brighter white. It works on improving staining and discolouration, giving you a smile you’ll be eager to show off. Thanks to advances in dental sciences, teeth whitening is a completely safe procedure when carried out under the care of a professional.

Our teeth whitening treatment is a process utilising customised whitening trays and whitening gel that is applied at home for a duration of two to four weeks, until the desired lighter shade is achieved. We’ll then review this with you to ensure you have an outcome you can be happy with.
